New features in XLSTAT 6

XLSTAT version 6 includes several changes from the previous version. It has been modified in order to provide:

  • Descriptive statistics: the median absolute deviation
  • Regression: Best regression option (alert when computations might be too long), Mallows' Cp
  • Regression, ANOVA and ANCOVA: two options for supplementary observations
  • Logistic regression: two options for supplementary observations
  • Non linear regression: fully redesigned. New functions have been added and the user's library is easier to manage
  • Parametric tests: the 2 samples comparisons tests have been redesigned; the Levene's test and the Bartlett's test have been added; more results are available for the Student's t test in the case of unequal variables (Cochran & Cox method, Satterthwaite's method).
  • All tests: comments on p-values and critical have been enriched
  • Similarity/Dissimilarity and Hierachical clustering: Mahalanobis' distance, Bhattacharya's distance, and co-ocurrences have been added
  • Similarity/Dissimilarity: new results have been added in the case of "Pairwise deletion" of missing values
  • PCA: new options are available for the varimax rotation
  • Distribution fitting and Distribution sampling: the Weibull distribution has been added
  • Correspondence analysis: a new output table has been added for the XLSTAT-3DPlot users, to facilitate the 3D visualization of the map
  • Better handling of complex multiple selection of tables
  • It is now possible to switch between languages with just two clicks
  • New option for the positioning of the charts among the results tables
  • Improved error messages management system
  • Improved help file

New features in version 6.1:

  • Kernel Regression (Modeling tools)
  • The simple and partial Mantel test (correlation between proximity matrices)
  • Two new tools for preparing data: presence/absence coding and partition recoding
  • The data sampling tool has been revised and extended
  • The discretization and histogram tool has been revised
  • The options box has been augmented with new features, and the concept of user has been introduced in XLSTAT
  • The computing speed of several methods has been improve

The changes from version 4 to 5 can be found here.
